Trying to figure out how much you can, or will make in the military? When you work as an employee of the military, you’re paid according to a Military Pay Chart. Each year the US Senate passes and the Presidents signs into law the new pay scale which is released in January of each year. The following is a list of current and historical pay scales for the US military:
Military Pay Charts – 1949 to 2018
The National Defense Authorization Act
When the government signed the National Defense Authorization Act into law on January 1, 2010, it raised the monthly pay rate for the Armed Services by 3.4%. Particularly affected were the enlisted members who reached their thirty year tenure mark. The thirty year high year tenure personnel are the last to have been under the final pay retirement method.
The Military Pay Chart and VA Loans
Although sometimes it falls short, the United States grants veterans a number of benefits as thanks for their service to their country. VA Loans are just one of those benefits. These loans are guaranteed and insured by the VA in case the veteran or otherwise qualified personnel defaults on their loan.
The terms and rates that veterans receive with VA Loans are often determined in part by their monthly income, so our VA Loan company provided the Military Pay Chart below for your perusal.
